SelfSovereign AI is an initiative by Rainfall. We founded Rainfall around a single conviction: the AI era requires a new primitive for human representation.
In 2024, the AI agent era began in earnest. Suddenly, autonomous AI systems were making consequential decisions — hiring, lending, diagnosing, recommending — across every domain of human life.
And we noticed something nobody was talking about: every one of these systems was building its own model of who you are. Healthcare AI had one version. Financial AI had another. Workplace AI had a third. None of them matched. None of them were you. None of them were accountable to you.
The AI stack had evolved extraordinarily fast. But one foundational primitive had been skipped entirely: human representation. There was no layer in the stack that said "this is who this person is, this is what they value, this is how they want to be treated — and this is governed by them."
Aura is that primitive. SelfSovereign.ai is the product. Rainfall is the company that believes this is the most important infrastructure problem in technology today.

Our operating principles.
Sovereignty first.
Every design decision is evaluated through one lens: does this increase or decrease human sovereignty in the AI era? There is no second place.
Privacy is architecture.
We do not build privacy as a feature. We build systems where privacy violation is architecturally impossible. The difference is total.
Independence is required.
We cannot be owned by a company whose interests conflict with human sovereignty. This independence is not a choice — it is a structural requirement of our mission.
The long game.
Protocol-layer infrastructure takes a decade to establish. We are building for the world of 2035, not the quarter. Patience is our strategy.
